Tour East Concludes 2019 Annual Meeting

Tour East Group recently conducted its annual 3-day Global Inbound (GIB) meeting from the 9th to 11th January 2019 at the Holiday Inn Silom Bangkok. After the past three meetings in 2017 and 2018 held in Singapore, this was the group’s first time holding this large scale meeting outside of Singapore.

The GIB meeting is a three-day meeting where all Tour East branch office managers are joined with international sales representatives and Tour East Holdings staff to discuss how we together can grow our business in each destination in 2019 and beyond. The conference also aims at exchanging ideas and creating a strong bond between Tour East members.

This year, more than 70 Tour East members from all over the globe attended this meeting, with several new faces joining Tour East. We welcomed two team members from the soon-to-open Tour East US office, which will be located in Los Angeles, supporting Tour East’s push into the Americas. The Laos office was their first time attending the meeting representing a Tiger Trail partnership with Tour East Group. We also had sales members join us from the UK, Russia, Europe, India, China, Australia, Indonesia, and the Middle East.

During the opening speech by Shigeyuki Suzuki, CEO&President of Tour East, he pointed out “Transformation is the key to achieve our goal in 2019”, also showing his appreciation to the team for hard work in the year 2018. The opening speech kicked off the three days of meetings starting with an OTA meeting on the first day, followed by an International market meeting on the second day and Asia market meeting on the third day.

This year, joining as members of the Tour East Holdings team, we had in attendance our newly appointed group Directors of MICE (Ms. Kelly Langrick), Procurement (Mr. Guy Allison) and Product & Marketing (Ms. Danielle Dranoff). These team members introduced new strategies and set forth new initiatives and direction with an aim to bring cohesion to the group, and move forward into 2019, and beyond, as a unified Tour East team, driving the same goals, vision, and mission.

Tour East’s third annual GIB meeting ended successfully with many productive discussions and meaningful one-on-one meetings, individual presentations, and bonding events. As a Tour East Group, we continuously put forward our best effort to deliver high-quality customer service as one of the top destination management companies of the Global DMC Network.
