Bohol Countryside Tour

Bohol Countryside Tour

per person

Discover the best of Bohol on this countryside tour of the island. First stop is the famous Blood Compact Site, where the Spanish explorer Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna, chieftain of Bohol, performed a blood compact to seal their friendship on 16th March 1565, considered to be the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos.

Visit the impressive and ancient Baclayon Church, declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines. Built from coral stones, this cross shaped church has three impressive altars, a quadrangular watchtower and a Baroque and Neoclassical pulpit.

Meet the world’s smallest primate, the Tarsier at a local sanctuary before joining a cruise boat on the Loboc River, where you will enjoy sumptuous typical Filipino dishes cooked the Boholanos way.

After lunch visit the majestic Bohol Forest, a 2-kilometer stretch of man-made mahogany trees, which is part of a large reforestation project. Enjoy the cool temperatures of the forest as you walk amongst these huge tall trees with their verdant green leaves forming an impressive canopy above you.

Next stop is the Chocolate Hills, the most famous tourist attraction of Bohol. About 1260 hills are scattered between the towns of Carmen, Sagbayan and Batuan. Get an excellent view of them from the special observation deck and listen to the legends about how they were formed before a stop at the Hanging Bridge for a chance to buy some trinkets and souvenirs to take home.
