Singapore Oceanarium

Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa is the expanded and reimagined successor to the former S.E.A. Aquarium, welcoming visitors since July 2025. Through immersive marine habitats, interactive technology and oceanic storytelling, the attraction introduces guests to marine biodiversity, scientific research and conservation, connecting the wonders of ocean life with the importance of protecting aquatic ecosystems.

The visitor experience moves through exhibits that examine the ocean's past, present and future. From sea jellies and prehistoric marine animals to coral reefs, sharks and open-ocean habitats, each area offers a different perspective on marine biodiversity. Beyond its visitor attractions, Singapore Oceanarium also supports scientific research, education and conservation through its dedicated Research and Learning Centre.

Highlights

  • Ocean Wonders and Ancient Waters: At Ocean Wonders, thousands of Moon Jellies float within a large Kreisel habitat, while Ancient Waters uses animatronics and fossil displays to explain prehistoric marine life. These exhibits introduce visitors to species and ecosystems from different periods in the ocean's history.
  • Singapore's Coast and Coral Gardens: Singapore's Coast features local species such as Archerfish and Barred Mudskippers, highlighting the country's shoreline ecosystems. Coral Gardens then introduces hard and soft corals and giant clams, showing how reef habitats support biodiversity and why protecting these environments matters.
  • Shark Seas and Open Ocean: Shark Seas features a viewing tunnel and habitats where guests can observe different shark species. The Open Ocean exhibit offers a large viewing panel with rays, sharks and other marine animals, connecting close-up encounters with explanations of their place in marine ecosystems.
  • Ocean's Future and Conservation: Ocean's Future and Hallway of Hope use immersive projections to explore environmental change and conservation. Beyond the public galleries, Singapore Oceanarium's Research and Learning Centre supports marine science and education; access to specialised programmes should be checked separately before a visit.
