Stories of Chinatown: Faith, Flavor & Footsteps

Chinatown Trails is a guided walking tour through one of Singapore’s most historic districts, combining religious landmarks, urban heritage and everyday local life. Designed for culturally curious guests, it focuses on key sites and clear interpretation rather than casual sightseeing.

The route begins at Sri Mariamman Temple, continues to Ann Siang Hill and its historic water well, then pauses for a short refreshment break before visiting the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The experience ends at a nearby hawker centre, where guests sample local dishes and gain insight into hawker culture, followed by free time to explore surrounding shophouses and side streets independently.

  • Key religious and historical sites: The tour includes guided visits to Sri Mariamman Temple and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, highlighting architecture, rituals and the shared history of different communities in Singapore.
