The Warehouse Hotel, Singapore

The Warehouse Hotel occupies an 1895 godown on Havelock Road, one of Singapore's oldest independently standing warehouses and part of the Robertson Quay conservation area gazetted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority in 2014. The building's storied past runs from spice, rice, and coffee storage through an opium den and later the Warehouse Disco (Singapore's largest at the time), before The Lo & Behold Group opened the current 37-room boutique hotel in January 2017.

Stays move between the vaulted triple-height lobby, the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the Singapore River, and Po Restaurant on the ground floor, with the surrounding Robertson Quay neighbourhood putting Clarke Quay, Fort Canning Park, and Orchard Road within a 15-to-20 minute walk of the entrance. The 22-month restoration retained original masonry, louvre windows, cornices, and moldings alongside contemporary interventions by local design agency Asylum.

WHY WE LIKE IT

The Warehouse Hotel is one of the most decorated boutique hotels in Singapore, holding the Conde Nast Traveler Hot List (2017 and 2018), AHEAD Asia Hotel of the Year 2018, Singapore Tourism Awards Best Hotel Experience 2018, and President's Design Award Design of the Year 2018 — a credential set that few other Singapore hotels at any price point can match. Its Design Hotels membership within Marriott Bonvoy also gives Bonvoy-loyal clients a genuinely design-led redemption option that sits outside the standard chain aesthetic entirely.

37 Rooms Across Six Categories Rooftop Infinity Pool & Design Po Restaurant & Lobby Bar

37 Rooms Across Six Categories

Accommodation spans 37 rooms across six categories: Warehouse Sanctuary (ground-floor rooms with mood lighting), Warehouse Loft, River View, Studio, River View Mezzanine (split-level with iron staircase and reading library), and River View Suite (57 sqm with double-height vaulted ceiling and standalone bathtub with river views). All rooms are king-only.

Rooftop Infinity Pool & Design

The glass-walled rooftop infinity pool overlooks the Singapore River and Robertson Quay. Interior design by Asylum unifies the rooms with single-unit copper wall pieces integrating desk and wardrobe, alongside preserved louvre windows, cornices, and custom lighting inspired by godown pulleys. Bang and Olufsen sound systems complete the room amenity set.

Po Restaurant & Lobby Bar

Po Restaurant is the flagship dining venue, a refined Mod-Sin concept by Chef Willin Low (founder of Wild Rocket) presenting elevated Singaporean classics from home-cooked memory. The Lobby Bar serves craft cocktails in the vaulted triple-height lobby against original masonry walls. Ashley and Co Ecocert-approved bath products complete the amenity signature.
