Updates to the Love Bali System to Support Bali’s Tourism Levy
The Bali Provincial Government, through the Bali Tourism Office, continues to enhance the Love Bali system as part of its ongoing commitment to preserving Bali’s natural environment and cultural heritage.
These updates support the implementation of the Tourism Levy for Foreign Visitors, a programme designed to ensure that tourism growth in Bali remains sustainable and beneficial for local communities, culture, and the environment.
What’s New in the Love Bali System?
1. UnionPay Payment Option Added
Foreign visitors can now pay the tourism levy using UnionPay, providing greater flexibility and convenience, especially for travellers who prefer this payment method.
2. Improved Name Entry Format
The system now separates First Name (Given Name) and Last Name (Surname) when entering traveller details. This update aligns with international standards and helps ensure more accurate visitor records.
3. Country of Origin Information Required
Visitors are now asked to enter their country of origin during the payment process. This information supports tourism data analysis and helps the government better understand visitor trends to Bali.
Why This Matters
1. Protecting Bali’s cultural heritage
2. Preserving natural landscapes and the environment
3.Supporting sustainable tourism development across the island
By continuously improving the Love Bali system, the Bali Provincial Government aims to make the payment process smoother for visitors while ensuring transparency and accountability for all stakeholders.
