Opened in August 2024, Begawan Biji is a sustainable farm-to-table restaurant that embodies the vision and values of Begawan Foundation. More than just a dining destination, it serves as a platform to showcase the Foundation's 20 years of impactful work in education, conservation, and farming. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the farm and breeding center, immersing themselves in Begawan’s regenerative agrotourism initiatives.
Inspired by the legacy of Begawan Giri Estate, Begawan Biji sets a new benchmark for sustainable tourism in Bali. Its profits directly support the Foundation’s community development programs, reinforcing a commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
The restaurant offers Mansur Heritage Rice and fresh produce from Begawan Giri’s farm, blending innovation with tradition. Architect Conchita Blanco designed the space to resemble a Balinese wantilan, using upcycled Kalimantan ironwood, Sumba sandstone, and bamboo, creating a serene setting surrounded by lush rice fields and forests.
