Gardens by the Bay Christmas Train Show

Gardens by the Bay Christmas Train Show is a seasonal floral display in the Flower Dome, combining model railways with Christmas planting. Returning after its 2024 debut, the 2025 edition expands the experience with close to 20 rotating model trains travelling along 145 metres of tracks, including bridges, tunnels, and overhead runs, inspired by classic American holiday train shows.

In celebration of SG60, a specially commissioned G-scale SMRT train, built in consultation with SMRT, weaves past miniatures of Singapore icons, alongside a Denmark-themed section featuring a 4.5-metre LEGO Christmas tree and a LEGO Nyhavn harbour scene. Close to 7,000 plants across more than 70 plants varieties complete the landscape, with four 7.5-metre luminaries lighting the display at night, and Flower Dome admission applies.

Highlights:

  • Railway display at scale - Close to 20 model trains rotate along 145 metres of tracks through Flower Dome.
  • American icons in miniature - Trains pass landmark scenes including the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Terminal, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • SG60 local detour - A specially commissioned G-scale SMRT train runs past Singapore-inspired miniatures made from upcycled local timber.
  • Danish Christmas touches - A 4.5-metre LEGO Christmas tree and Copenhagen-inspired LEGO features bring a Europe-themed zone to life.
  • Festive planting after dark - Close to 7,000 plants and four 7.5-metre luminaries create a warm evening glow.
