Initiatives encompass waste reduction, recycling, and the regeneration of natural systems. The program strives to achieve Zero Waste to the Landfill, decrease the Carbon Footprint, engage in Community Outreach, and educate Guests and Staff.
2. FISH FOR THE FUTURE
Addressing unsustainable fishing practices around Langkawi, the Fish For The Future pillar tackles threats to marine biodiversity and ecosystems. It seeks to balance the benefits for nature, fisheries, fishers, and tourism. Collaboration with governmental bodies is evident, including efforts to establish a marine protected area to safeguard coral reefs in the bay.
3. WILDLIFE FOR THE FUTURE
The Wildlife For The Future pillar aims to safeguard Langkawi's unique species and natural heritage. This includes countering deforestation caused by rapid development and implementing reforestation, habitat restoration, and wildlife protection initiatives.
4. YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE
The Youth For The Future pillar recognizes the significance of involving young individuals in shaping a sustainable future. It emphasizes educational partnerships, complimentary programs, and continuous learning to empower youth to lead and promote sustainability.
